take the zags. they're on a roll, it's at home, and they will have a little extra motivation to show usd who is the better squad after what happened in SD.

What is this language you are all speaking? It sounds like English...but I still don't understand any of it.

Simplistically, in point spread wagering (the most popular form of wagering on basketball & football), the 'spread' (also called the 'line') is set by sportsbooks to encourage equal action on both sides. The idea is to take the money from the losing side to pay off the winning side, so the spread can be adjusted as bets come in if there is heavy wagering on one side. The books usually require you to wager 11 dollars to win 10, so they end up with that extra dollar as profit after taking the first 10 you wagered to pay off a winner on the other side.

In this case, the spread is GU -21 (alternatively, if you're betting on USD, it is USD +21). Let's assume you bet on Gonzaga -21. When the final buzzer sounds, take GU's score and subtract 21 (or take USD's score and add 21). If Gonzaga still wins with the adjusted score, they've 'covered' the spread, and you would win your bet.

Nobody is touching the O/U on this one.

Looks like a few books finally got the total up at 134, but you're right, most are staying away.

This is exactly why I won't bet on sports or horses or anything that I don't have control over. So much randomness happens during the course of a game.

Betting on things you have control over is generally illegal.

Its only illegal if you get caught! ;) Naw, what I meant by that is things like Poker where I can pick and choose spots and generally be more selective about where I just want to "flip a coin".

One awesome thing about losing my bet today is confirming that this is the first week that Zags have covered both games, and both in complete dominating fashion. Truly starting to peak in all regards at the right time.

Was the last game of a 3 game parlay paying 6:1, that's what I get for not betting on zags to cover.

At least my Oklahoma & unlv parlay will pay for my bet.

madness, Irish was way off too, and had mentioned in another post that the Zags have only covered the point spread on second game of the week something like twice (now three) this year.

For entertainment purposes only, otherwise houses start changing hands... ;)
