The Mike Hart award

There are many awards in college basketball. I think we need to add one more, the Mike Hart award. If not for the entire NCAA, maybe Gonzaga could adopt this award for future Zags.

What would your criteria be for a player to win the Mike Hart award?

What would your criteria be for a player to win the Mike Hart award?

1. Must walk in off the veritable street and end up starting for a Top 5 team
2. Must make the Dean's List and pursue a post-graduate degree
3. Must infuriate (and simultaneously impress) opposing players, coaches and fans and delight your own teammates and fans with an innate ability to track down a loose ball no matter where it is or how little business you have getting that ball.
4. Must never attempt a layup after grabbing an offensive board - ever
5. Must endure 4 years of armchair coaching from Zagnuts who obsess over players' offensive potential, whether realized, unrealized, needed or unneeded, and who still demand Few FREE MANNY.
