Unfortunately, Micah left last night's game with an injury. His coach was on the local Maine sports radio, this afternoon. They weren't sure how bad the injury will be. He sounded relatively optimistic, but did not have a time-table for Micah's return. The team has had so many injuries in recent weeks that he's worried that they might be down to a seven-man rotation for a couple of games depending on when Downs and a few other players return.

The coach did mention that he thinks Micah Downs has been the best player in the entire D-League through the first half of their season.

He played 40+ minutes to lead the team in that category. I guess he's feeling better.

Local Maine sports radio has been discussing a rumor that the Celtics might sign Micah Downs, but it hasn't passed the rumor and speculation stage. I found this article from last month that suggests the Celtics were contemplating that move. Unfortunately, the Celtics have added a couple of other wing/guard players since this time. I don't know if the new radio chatter is just a continuation of last month's speculation or not.

I wish he could get a chance. He has played incredibly well at the D-League level.
