View Full Version : Will there ever be another 300 game winner?

Congrats to Tom Glavine for winning his 300th game last night. There is a lot of talk that he might be the last 300 game winner ever.

I see both sides to this issue.

1. Never say never. Nothing is forever, including this record.

2. The game has changed so much. Starters are getting about 10 starts less than a generation and a half ago. Plus relief pitching usually sends the starter out by the 7th inning.

I think it will be very difficult to win 300 games. But you never know how the rules might change in the future.
