    Perfect Game and Still no WCC POW?

    I apologize-- but this one bugs me.

    IMO-- Kelly earned the POW this week over Beau of St Marys.

    The miss free game over the #2 team in the league.

    Leading scorer in both games for the wins.

    Comparing numbers over the 2 games.

    Beau pts:39 RBs:10 Ast:3 ST:3 FT 4-8
    Kelly pts:39 RBs:17 Ast:8 ST:4 FT 10-11

    Unfortunately they gave it to Beau.

    Keep everybody happy

    Don't take POW too seriously. WCC just wants to keep everybody happy.

    The problem is they (WCC coaches) adopt that attitude when it comes to picking All-WCC honors as well.

      The bias is not so much against the Zags as it is to highlight the other teams in the conference that get less coverage nationally.

      I think the team is used to it by now. It is not that big a snide anyway, Beau's numbers are right there with KO's. A case could also be make for Harris who was right there with KO.

          THe Max Good coach of the year for 2012 has to be one of the best of all-time head scratchers. All coach Bennett did was win both WCC titles last year shutting GU out of any continue streak but we got Mad Max! He's really following up on that accolade this season playing far below the athletic talent available to him on LMU Lions. I bet most you didn't even recall that snub.

            I didn't remember and I appreciate the reminder that is perhaps the greatest snub in the history of the WCC - - Bennett should have won - easiest decision ever.
