Wow, Butler loses WITH Rotnei Clarke healthy, and CBS still has Butler ahead of us. Oh, well. Number 9's nice too.

I just continue to be amazed by Kansas. Year after year after year. Most factory schools have down years, but Kansas just has this remarkable consistency. Bill Self really does a fantastic job with recruiting. He has an ability to spot guys who are going turn into NBA prospects one day, but who will need 3-4 years to get there. And then he brings in the occasional stud freshman like Brandon Rush or Ben McLemore to compliment those guys. By the time the 3-4 year guys move on, a new crop comes up and replaces them. What's also important to note is that unlike other programs (UCLA, Duke, etc.), Kansas generally has to recruit nationally, although they have struck gold locally in recent times with guys like Ben McLemore and Perry Ellis.

Bill Self might be the best recruiter out there right now. General Calipari at UK just snaps his fingers and 6 Burger Boys sign up. Same with Roy Williams at UNC. Self really puts some thinking into the process. He would rather have a program that does what Gonzaga does - win league titles year after year - than go up and down like the stock market. Granted, he's getting better talent than Gonzaga does, but Kansas clearly goes about doing things in a different way than most of their factory school colleagues.

Miami jumps 14 spots mid-season? Really CBS? If they're looking for some credibility as a source for NCAAB information and rankings, they need to stop doing lines of blow before they decide to release their top-25 for the week.

Agree but it's not about Miami, it's about Duke.

GU tied for most wins in country with 19! Wichita St and Michigan will have first shots at #20 on Tues/Weds. Our 20th could come Thursday.

Rotnei Clarke didn't play against Lasalle when Butler lost. His first game back was against Temple.

Thanks. In that case, Butler being one up on us isn't necessary unfair.
