Wich St vs Creighton ought to be a great game. I haven't seen Wich St much this season, but they are a lot better than they were 'supposed to be' coming into the year. They don't seem like the kind of team you'd want to face in their own gym. Creighton has their work cut out for them.

As far as the WCC goes, I think this is where USD comes back down to earth. As good a coach as Rose it, there is no way he will let his team drop 2 in a row on their home court. Add USD's 4-0 conf record to that and, really, their relative lack of skill when it comes to the 'big 3' in the WCC and, yeah, beat down.

At this point are we cheering for KSU in the OK game? Yes, I wish both can win but since only one can do we go for a "great" win against KSU or would it be better if OK started moving up? OK has been moving up. I can't believe that KSU is ranked, they didn't look good against us.

What would be better? Probably if KSU turned out to be a great win.

OK's RPI is #13, Kansas State #35. I don't know how much a loss would hurt either, but on the basis of RPI, OK is our best win. Stat sheet schedule with RPI (http://statsheet.com/mcb/teams/gonzaga/schedule)

I'm really happy for Bruce Weber. I've always liked him. And honestly, I don't care for Illinois' coach.

The Kansas @ Texas game is real good. Texas is up by six with 16 min left in the second half. The interest for me is that the Zags played a pick up game with Texas in preseason. There is added interest because it's a game in the Big 12 where Gonzaga is 5-0. Texas is now up by 11 with 15 to go. Wow! If Texas and Ohio St loose, GU could move up to #6 in the polls. That would be awesome. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Kansas wins by 5 in the last minute.

Really rooting for Texas in this one. If Kansas doesn't win league chances are somebody the zags beat will, and a loss to a mediocre team wouldn't bode well for KU.

Syracuse versus Louville early, Cuse by 4 @ 12:00 1st.

Anyone else watching this game feel like both teams are a small step above the Zags and would have to have a really bad shooting performance for Zags to win? Just seems like they are a little quicker defensively and able to drive for shots.

The Syracuse/Louisville game is the game of the year by far. Tremendously high level of play.

Russ Smith shoud have been on ball. Siva turns it over a lot.

Creighton down 1 with Wichita St. shooting FT's, 15 secs left. Gibbs choked at the line (could have tied) then fouled out.

Edit: Creighton down 3 now. 10 secs left.

Edit2: Creighton goes down. Had 2 chances at a 3 to tie, rimmed both.

Silva is a disaster on offense, but a stud on defense.

Does Louisville always take so many bad shots, or was that because of the Cuse zone?

Yup, Siva chokes a lot. City boys never choke.

Siva made a nice drive to the hoop and Djienne fumbled it. Should have been an easy two but not his fault. Also made a sick steal and was fouled late in 2nd half but ref made a mind boggling call.

I'm not so sure. The pass went to Dieng's knees, and even if he caught it he wasn't in a position to do much with it.

Agree about the defensive play, especially forcing Carter-Williams into a wild driving shot in the final minute. Defensively, Siva is what I used to hope Goodson would become.

North Carolina beat Maryland at home 62-52.

Oklahoma State drills Texas Tech 79-45.

Saw the baseline cam. A bounce pass and he fumbled it. Could have caught and went up with it. However, the 24 second mark was an ill-advised pass that lead to the breakaway dunk and Triche did smoke him quite a bit so yeah he didn't have a good game.

So, is this the night that San Diego comes back to earth? I believe they have an away game at BYU tonight, I read that somewhere, think it is right.
