The native of Kamloops, British Columbia, played in all seven games for the month, starting five. He averaged 18.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg, went 51-for-72 from the field for 70.8 percent and 23-for-27 from the line for 85.2 percent.
Olynyk scored a then-career-high 22 points at Washington State University in a 71-69 win, all 22 points coming in the second half while going 10-for-12 from the field in the second half after a 0-for-2 first half. He also scored 20 points in a win against Kansas State University in the Battle in Seattle, going 10-for-13 from the field.
He scored 12 points against Campbell and grabbed 6 rebounds in only 17 minutes while going 10-for-10 from the free throw line against the Fighting Camels, the 23rd time in GU history a player has gone at least 10-for-10 from the line.
Olynyk, who was also named the WCC Player of the Week this past week, went 9-for-12 from the field and scored 21 points against Baylor University, capped the month by going 7-12 from the field and 7-8 from the line for 21 points with 9 rebounds in a win at Oklahoma State University as No. 10/10 Gonzaga defeated the No. 22/21 Cowboys. He moved as high as No. 2 in the country in field goal percentage during the month.
