coach few is one victory away from once again having the best winning percentage of any active coach.

mark few 358 wins 91 losses, winning percentage .7973
roy williams 685 wins, 174 losses, winning percentage .7974

next up for gonzaga, portland next thursday
next up for north carolina, saturday at florida state
this is a probable win for gonzaga and loss for north carolina
but even if both teams win, few passes williams .7977 to .7976

plus given the track record of both teams so far this year there is no doubt north carolina is going to lose more games from here on out than will gonzaga. so at years end coach few will retain first place status in winning percentage.

so way to go coach, congratulations!

Thanks for running these numbers. I was curious about it when I saw that NC had lost tonight.

gotta keep in mind the difference in skill levels in the two leagues
Williams is in a BCS conference

but I am still happy and proud of Few's achievement
the WCC seems to be a higher level conference in the last 4-5 years

- absolutely coach williams in the acc and bcs conference has tougher competition. if we transplanted each zags team over past 14 yrs to the acc coach few would not have a 80% winning record.
- but if the zags were in a bcs league few would be recruiting mcdonalds all americans and 4 and 5 star recruits, which he cannot do at gonzaga. this is no knock on our players in the least.
- if the coach up at whitworth had an 80% winning records it would not be fair to say, yeah but how would he do in the wcc? he can't recruit the level of players that play in the wcc.
- so yes coach williams' teams play in a tougher league, but you know what, our coach is now going to be top dog! go zags!
