I like a good JUCO player, but do you know how communication is currently with Bryan Alberts? Would love to see this guy in a ZAG uniform.

I'm thinking log jam at the 1 and 2 already with Coleman next year coming in.

Unless we are expecting a guard to leave.

Why? Who do you propose will be playing the 3? If anything Bell's injury scare should have made us realize how we lack depth at the guard position. With Nunez eligible 2nd semester I would love to add a guard so that we have a backup at every position 1-3. I fully expect Coleman to start at the 3 all year finally solidifying the 3 spot.

Sure would seem we're the most attractive pick of that bunch.

BZ...I often wonder why we don't "mine" College of Idaho. That school always seems to produce high end kids like Baylor's Jackson. Year in and out. I see to remember that those kids usually have issues of some kind...like grades?
Surely,Not all of those kids are academically insufficient. Do we have a good relationship with C of I?

I can't remember that last time one of those kids found his way to GU.

Potential WSU basketball recruit arrested for MIP

A basketball recruit was arrested Saturday for minor in possession of alcohol and lying to police.

Pullman police arrested Chad E. Frazier, 20, around midnight at 880 NE B Street and NE California Street. A Daily Evergreen reporter on the scene witnessed the arrest.

Frazier, a point guard for Gulf Coast State College in North Carolina, gave police false information about his identity and background, but identified himself as a basketball recruit. He eventually surrendered his identification card to police, revealing his age and address.

Athletics Department spokesman Bill Stevens said he was not aware of any connection between the arrest and senior point guard Reggie Moore’s removal from the team. The Daily Evergreen contacted Jessica Schmick, spokeswoman for the basketball team, but she was unavailable for comment.

Frazier verbally committed to Oklahoma State on Monday, according to Cougfan.com.

According to Scout, while Frazier might have "committed" to OSU, OSU never made him an offer:

I went to the Rose Bowl last year, I was making better decisions back then. Badgers are getting it together.

A buddy of mine's sister was a Rose Bowl Queen in the late 60's.

Haven't seen her in decades however.

Coleman is 6'2 tops. I just don't understand why so many keep thinking that he is a sf.

Maybe because that's where he played last season, averaging 13.2 points and 6 boards in the Big East.

Gerard may be 6'2" to you, but he's listed at 6'3" after being listed at 6'4" during his two years at Providence. BTW, the two guards last year at Providence (both of whom outscored Gerard's 13.2ppg) are 6'1" and 6'2".

At the three to start off the year I expect we may play some Barham/Coleman/Dranginis.

Coleman/Angel will probably platoon at the 3 after midyear.

I am very excited about the offensive impact that Coleman can have for the team ----he averaged 13 pts and 5 boards in the big east.

Last year he scored 30 pts against WV and had 20 pts and 8 boards against St. Johns. The kid can score and board.

I am optimistic with our guards for next year.

So, just how tall is Pangos? In their roster picture they are not even close to the same height standing next to each other.
