Strengths:
Nunez is a prospect with immense talent and staggering potential on the wing. He has terrific size, length, and athleticism and is extremely smooth in everything that he does on the offensive end. From his physical movements to the release of his jump shot everything is very fluid. He shoots the three with range and can get his shot off anytime he wants thanks to his high release point, has improved his ability to get to the rim, and can get his head up to the cup when finishing. He is also a pretty good passer who sees the floor and is a willing facilitator.
Weaknesses:
His potential still far exceeds his production as Nunez has never been able to consistently utilize all of his tools to be a dominant force on the floor. The biggest knock against him is that he can be a little bit soft, physically as well as mentally, since he doesn't always play hard, tends to shy away from contact, and can be emotional on the court. On the defensive end of the floor in particular, Nunez needs to show a much more consistent effort. Offensively, the one weapon he lacks is the quick first step to break down a set defender.
Bottom Line:
Talent has never been the question when it comes to Nunez as his size, athleticism, and basketball skill are almost immediately noticeable, but he has gotten by on talent alone over the years and needs to learn to play with more intensity if he ever hopes to come close to realizing his potential.
