Perhaps we aren't "elite" when measured by final four and championship standards, but we sure ain't chopped liver when measured by winning percentage over an extented period of time!!!!!!

Hey cool, thanks for posting. I was wondering what the updated calculation on this was, I thought just a couple seasons ago that there was only 1 team (Duke) with more wins than us. Can't remember what the year span was or anything...

Actually, up until last year, Duke and Gonzaga were the only teams with less than 10 losses for the past 10 years (I believe it was ten years). That may be the stat you were thinking of....

Its interesting to note that we are 2nd over 10 years and #1 over 5 years in the least number of losses. In other words we had the lease days of morning after depression than practically everybody:D

2nd and tied for 1st in terms of winning percentage over those time periods.

But the fewest NCAA wins of any of those teams, and besides Syracuse (which has a championship) we aren't particularly close to any of the others. I think if we really want to be held in that esteem, we need to add about 8 tourny wins in the next two years.

Not to mention I can guarantee we played the easiest schedule of any of those other teams listed, including memphis (I looked it up). Regardless, an impressive statistic.

I'm pretty sure GU played the least (true) home games of any team on the lists. (no, I didn't look it up)

But I do agree - it is an impressive stat.
