    Fran said it best...

GBJ needs to become more aggressive on offense!

I don't mind working within the offense, distributing to our other guys, and taking what the defense gives you, yet that's just it...Gary is passing up wide-open shots left and right.

I like his new-found floater, yet no more passing on so many looks.

Just thinking long-term and commenting on Fran's analysis of what we'll need going forward...

Great game and win vs Davidson!

Way to bring home the OSC 'Ship - 2012.

    I agree........

but it's hard when EH is taking over and KP is filling it up from deep. I love his mid-range game and his defense is stellar as always.

I want him to shoot it more as well, but you can't argue with the results.

His time will come, when teams start taking KP out with double teams or if they start doubling EH.

His gun is holstered for now, but it's full of bullets.

    Go ZAGS

GBJ is fine.....its the silly turnovers that we need to correct. Either way the guys hung tough.

Speaking of Fran...can he announce all of our games? Guy loves the Zags.

Olynyk will take Dowers starting spot at this rate.

Love GBJ. But he does need to get the O going.

Fran said that GBJ tends to wait for the game to come to him. GBJ needs a bit more Elias in him.

No announcer nor analyst knows our Zags better than Fran, well, maybe Katz.

But wow, Franchilla's knowledge of everything Gonzaga is/was remarkable.

Literally mentioned every single detail about every player -- past and present.

He was a joy to listen to the last few games...I will miss him, until next time.

Unfortunately we will likely have Dave Flemming and Sean Farnham for the rest of the season, though Farnham is alright.

Fran knows College Basketball. Yes he knows an inordinate amount of info about the Zags, but he can do it for all of the Big 12 and a lot of other teams too. He's one fine color guy and I liked the pairing with Sciambi. Too many announcer teams can't stop yammering, but that duo was calm and just called the game.

Played playground ball with Fran years ago in Brooklyn. As nice a guy as you might imagine. St Johns big mistake.

As I said in another thread, the Zags aren't going to beat the best times with Gary only taking four foul shots every six games. He's not attacking the lane enough when teams take away the 3 point shot.

interestingly, Gary heated up in the 2nd half with E on the bench. Not saying I wouldn't mind him shooting more but he gets the game, what imposing himself is about in winning. he's a sophomore. fun player to watch that's for sure, battling in there with the big boys for d board position! that guy competes hard, takes his assignments to heart

Amen. I can't recall listening to a color commentator who is neither an alum of a school or part of local broadcast team who knows as much about a MBB program, its history, its coaches, and its players as FF does about Gonzaga. I know he's been an admirerer for years. I assume it because he coached at a non-PAC 12 school in the West and really appreciates what Monson/Few have accomplished.
