Boston College plays Baylor in the first round of the Charleston Classic in 1 hour. I don't expect a W for my Eagles but I hope they are competitive and I always know that I will be able to get revenge with my Zags in a few weeks.

Looks like Jean-Paul Olukemi injured his knee pretty severely in this game. Could be a big blow for them.

I do not envy SMC.

This is what? Their second game this year? And, it is actually close to a "must win" if they want a decent seed in the tourney.

Utah State and Drexel are the two "marque" OOC games - except weak Anaheim tournament and bracket buster game.

SMC should win, they are the better team. Utah State can beat just about anyone at home so it will be big for SMC if they get a "W" - - but the "east centric bb world" will not even notice.

Unless they lose.

This just shouldn't be the case. With players like Simpson, Samhan, Mills, and now Delladova (who I think is an absolute stud) SMC should be playing people and gaining some notice. Put those players on a national stage instead of playing a bunch of low level teams at home.

They'll beat Utah State by 10 and Drexel like a drum.

I hope they win by at least 6 :)...

Taking a look at the Baylor Box score: Pierre Jackson and 3 pointers...

Baylor: P. Jackson 31 Pts, 2 Reb, 7 Ast, 2 Stl
12-26 from 3s

Pierre Jackson can get really streaky, and I bet Few puts Bell on him for the whole game. Pangos can mark Heslip, and then of course the Baylor Bigs will be battling ours amidst many rotations.

Jackson as the PG is by far the key to their team, and Bell will be challenged mightily, but I expect a great game. Baylor's upcoming game against Kentucky will speak volumes.

I thought you might wonder where Delly gets his mouthpiece inspiration from

SMC wins by 9.

Interesting stat: they get beat on the boards by 19! USU's 6'10" F/C gets 15 boards.

With a schedule like that, I would say it is a "must win" if they want any seed at all in the tourney.*

* Unless they can win the rest of their games except for one with BYU. That would put them at 5 losses, having lost two or three times to us depending if we faced them in the WCC tourney.
