I'd love to watch 1 minute, just 1 damn minute without stoppage. These officials are pathetic

Unfortunately for a physical WVU, tightly called games always benefit GU.

Anyone know what conference the refs are from? They are awful!

Would rather they be bad for both teams like tonight then bad for one and not the other.

No idea who the refs were, but they had the feel of WCC refs. I still remember a blocking foul on MM when a St Mary's player ran around him and there was literally no contact at all. Sheesh.

No. Even wcc refs are not that bad. They kept trying to keep the foul counts equal. Just my opinion

The head ref was a West Coast/Pac 12 guy. Saw him at the Battle last year, and many GU games on TV before.

Disagree, to some degree.
WVU grabbing, whacking, shoving, blocking and only getting called on half of it.
without the discipline of refs calling much of this it is a street brawl
GU ends up doing some of the same
which is good because we need to get used to refs that let more happen than WCC refs
besides we have the depth to tit for tat foul players out
esp when KO gets to play again

Welcome to the WCC! Sorry, it can also be painful for us to watch even when we're winning.

Refs were West Coast refs, primarily Pac 12, WAC, Big Sky.

Some of the worst officiating I have ever seen. Game was ugly early because they wouldn't let the players play. Same thing at the beginning of the second half. I will say this... they were consistent... consistently crappy.... but consistent.

All three were spawned from the loins of Dan Niksich.

My son went to bed with about 15:00 left in the second half. He said the game was boring, because the refs had ruined the game.

Officials had a game plan and executed it. They wanted to dominate the game and missed no potential calls and threw in some extra calls even when there was no possible call. Great effort. Gave the fans an extra twenty minutes of TV time.

Refs called it close from get-go. IMHO, teams need to adjust accordingly. A little more leeway on some calls would've been nice, but other calls (IMHO) were legit.

Various refereeing styles are part of the game. This happens every year to every team. The Mountaineers couldn't shoot worth beans. It cost 'em. That's the game's difference.

Whistle. Board foul, ... too much common sense. Everyone loves a freethrow contest, with players looking strangely at each other and just shaking their heads. Makes for great falling to sleep TV.

THIS is how an official SHOULD call a game.. Contact is going to happen...the ONLY time you call a foul is if one team or the other GAINED an advantage because of the foul. If bodies are banging for a rebound AND a player gets the ball because he is fouling ..then CALL the foul ...if players are banging underneath and the ball bounces out past the three point line ...LET IT GO!!!!

I saw both Reed & Irving doing NCAA Tourney games last year. My memory seems to think that both were working into the 2nd weekend.
