I heard Bell scored 43 points in one half, KD had 17 assists, Dower blocked every attempted shot by the other post player, KO was 100% shooting from the field, and Karno closed down a taco truck outside their hotel.

Or do they not play till later today? Great opportunity for both teams.

So, let's just say that, if the Zags went to a "Mexican restaurant" in CO this weekend, how many "tacos" did Pangos, Harris, etc... "eat?" How many times did Stockton serve a "taco" to a teammate? How many loose "tacos" from Texas misses did the Zags grab? How many Zags had a chance to "eat tacos?" Wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say-no-more...

The way I understand it, yes.

Oregonzagnut

There isn't much to understand anymore. It is the NCAA's way or the highway. When tweeting and e-mailing become illegal is when our agencies need to be stopped. Our students speaking and the risk of info or secrets getting out is of equal cost to everyone. If people started investigating the NCAA officials as much as the NCAA investigated everyone else, we would find just as much exploitation and corruption. The longer people get to act without any accountability, the more people in power get corrupt.

It hasn't changed over any society, culture, industry or millennia. Large groups of people with common power goals, always default to grabbing whatever they can out of the cookie jar.

IMO, our students are being unfairly and financially exploited. And banning their freedom of speech on legitimate things just to ban the few illegitimate things is tantamount to a human rights violation. It kinda makes me sick and what happened to innocent before proven guilty.

An "Own Goal" occurs when a player dunks a basketball so hard in the opposing team's goal that the ball enters a wormhole and reappears in the dunker's "own goal." Very rare.

Soccer fans occasionally misinterupt the term (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Own_goal).

According to my sources, The Big Pole scored 101 points during the scrimmage against Texas and then went on to 'friend' 20,001 Texas coeds, thus surpassing Wilt Chamberlain's record in both categories in a single weekend.

Going to be a great season, according to my sources.

In all cerealness...errr...seriousness, I finally received word back from a former colleague and buddy of mine who works at UT-Austin (I used to travel to the campus for work a couple times per year).

His direct quote via text:

"Reportedly, Gonzaga beat us badly. Shot lights out & we couldn't execute on offense at all. This year's team is mostly freshman & Sophomores, our PG is out indefinitely, & we lost to Davidson earlier as well."

If this is snippet is over stepping any boundaries, Mods please delete.

Texas is ranked #24 to start the season, yet sounds as if Davidson and us beat them pretty good. I think it all depends if Myck can/will return.

You mean I might've not been cuckoo in my post?

The real story will become obvious over this next week as the talking heads get wind of the scrimmage.

Beating a top 25 team without their starting point guard isnít much of a victory, winning by 25 while turning the ball over 20 times is. Especially if a good percentage of those turnovers were walking calls on E or SD, or if they were obviously just early season miscues.

Seth moved first (http://www.guboards.spokesmanreview.com/showthread.php?t=41710).

If this team is for real, we should hear a lot more hype by the end of this weekend.

Go ZAGS!
