    Schedule

Does anyone know how far along our schedule is?? I know that it isn't normally out until September or October. Im trying to book flights home for Christmas, and I want to know if I need to come back early to see any games. That said, who are are scheduled opponents and who are we trying to get??

The dates will be set very soon. It's the TV times that will need to be worked out, and that's what delays the finished schedule. Prolly September.

In the meantime, the following reflects some firm dates and opponents and lots of tentatives and rumors, with changes from the recent version on the other thread highlighted in blue.

I wouldn't recommend relying on the schedule above for travel plans however.

Edited to add: Someone posted a link showing Liberty playing UK on Nov. 21, so it seems likely they'll be out of the GAS, which will be looking for a replacement. I don't think I'd like to be organizer of the GAS in these days when commitments are broken so easily...

Thanks for the info. It looks like the Zags games during Christmas break will be in So. Cal, not in N. Cal. I have nothing to worry about. I don't think I wil try to make the drive from Carmel to LMU or Pepperdine, I'll just watch on TV.

            Strongest Home Game

In the upcoming 2007-2008 Gonzaga Basketball season, what would be the top 3 or 4 home games to watch? What would be their top 3 or 4 away games to watch?

I'm personally circling the games between Pokie State, Portland (DR's kid brother), and Santa Clara.

                  If you ask me -

@ home: WSU (definitely), Utah (? if it happens), and USD (Grier's return)

on the road: UConn (Neutral), Tenn (BiS), and Memphis (National Championship contenders, probably), also the Big XII team (depending on who that ends up being - Baylor excites me not)

We have quite the little detectives here, don't we? Nice work, Abe. Do you have the link handy?

Thanks, Abe. I found the link to the UCR official schedule, and it shows the Zags game in Spokane November 17th.

I've got a hunch the Mods are just as curious as we are. Lots of schedules out there for our opponents still seem to be in flux, perhaps because of TV scheduling demands. FWIW, here's the latest version, with change from last speculative schedule highlighted in blue, until and unless BZ tells us we should change it. As previously noted, some of it is based on second-hand or rumored info, so take care relying on it, at least until BZ confirms:

Thanks, Abe for the good eye! Some holes seem to be filling in nicely.

                              Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson!

                              .....or maybe Tenspeed & Brownshoe.

Just a side note: if memory serves, the game limit - not counting exhib & postseason - is 28 (G.A.S. counts as only one). And Native's schedule now shows 29. So assuming the added UCR tilt is legit, one of "Unknowns" in the sched is out. (Again, if I'm remembering that right....) Being how Bob left out UAB above, I wonder if that deal just ended up falling thru?

                              Anyway, great work, gents!!
