I've been out of computerland for a spell and noticed a SG who has interest in GU and visa versa? I searched GUBoards and it doesn't appear his name has come up, unless I missed it.

Anyone have any other information?

He is Iziahiah Sweeney of Compton High in CA. 6'2 and 160. ESPN 4-Star.

Appears GU has offered Sweeney - GU Scout (http://gonzaga.scout.com/a.z?s=130&p=8&c=1&nid=5920353)

He's the Next Russell Westbrook - LA Times Blog (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/varsitytimesinsider/2012/06/boys-basketball-hes-the-next-russell-westbrook.html)

HS California - Scout (http://hscalifornia.scout.com/a.z?s=153&p=9&c=4&cfg=bb&pid=41&yr=2014)
- Shows interests as Gonzaga, Oregon State, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, Utah State

ESPN Insider (http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/national/post/_/id/3457/fullcourt-press-fall-showcase-recap)
- Can't read whole article, but this is available for free:

Sweeney is one of the more improved prospects out west. The explosive guard is an electrifying leaper with a smooth shooting stroke. He gets great lift on his shot and he is a highlight waiting to happen at any moment of the game. He needs to improve his midrange handle and decision making, but his upside is staggering.

Three Stand Out For Sweeney - GU Scout (http://gonzaga.scout.com/a.z?s=130&p=2&c=1231654&ssf=1&RequestedURL=http%3a%2f%2fgonzaga.scout.com%2f2%2f 1231654.html)
- Again, can't read it, but I believe GU is in the three

espn rates him as an 80. i think they rated pangos/bell 90ish.

"Sweeney needs to improve in a number of areas to garner a Division I scholarship. He needs continued practice on his fundamentals (playing on balance/ jump stop/becoming more efficient) and developing mid-range skills (pull-up game/runners/etc.) as well as a more fluid 3-point jump shot.
Bottom Line:
Sweeney has all the athleticism and an ideal frame to be a Division I player. However, his perimeter skills (handle (going left), jump shot, etc.) need to continue to evolve."

You're correct, but ESPN changed the way they rated players this past off-season I believe, and now an 80 is very good, which is pretty much on par with what Pangos/Bell were rated at. Now if the prospect is rated in the 90's, they're basically saying he will be in the NBA sooner rather than later.

Seems like he might well be the guard we should be after...red shirt him and let me learn proper skills and the GU system and then have four to play...
