Host Brazil beat US Virgin Islands 86-81 in the Pan Am opener. JP tied for team-high with 17 points (8-13 FG). Also 9 boards, 1 assist & 2 steals.

Frank Elegar, who was Drexel's leading scorer last season, led US VI with 21. Carl Krauser is also on that team.

JP better get himself an investment broker. It sounds like he owns the paint all over the world.

:o Okay, dumb. But good job to JP anyway! One of my fav Zags ever!

Got to love that 61.5% shooting percentage...He was always efficient with the ball...Maybe that is why he has not gotten serious interest from the NBA...J/K...Way to go JP...GO ZAGS!

What a delightful young man. Whomever said "nice guys finish last" never meet J.P. Batista. He deserves any success he has!

I think it would be great to watch that game if Tim Duncan was on the USVI team opposite JP.
