Is GU recruiting JUCO Jamal Jones?

ESPN Insider "Rumor Central" had some of the following:

"Winton reports Jones is now at Lee College, and there are few BCS conference teams interested -- Oklahoma State, Missouri, Gonzaga, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech."

"The addition of Gonzaga is somewhat interesting -- the Zags are not known for scouring the junior college ranks for talent. However, the loss of Elias Harris, along with both Sam Dower and Kelly Olynyk, could have Mark Few and his staff searching for a capable big."

Seems like Mr. Brad Winton of JUCO Recruiting seems to have some of his facts wrong. GU loses Elias but not Sam Dower or Kelly Olynyk.

Does anyone have knowledge of GU recruiting this ex-Ole Miss player?

Is Alaska out of the country? Or is just the Canada part what you're refering to?

and not known for scouring the juco ranks? Well, JP Batista is the first top-notch guy that I think of, and of course we've got Guy on the team right now. Tony Skinner was a juco, I believe, as was Kuso. All of those are just the last 6 or 7 years.

Spent over half the time in Canada--so that's what I was referring to. It's also the part where we had the poorest internet service.

Although a lot of folks still talk like Alaska is out of the country.

I didn't over look that but it was some what curious wasn't it. Seems like he doesn't do a lot of research before he writes an article.

Although it is not US junior college, Bol Kong did play a year of college ball in Canada before he suited up.

No offense to the poster of this statement, but if you are trying to sell something - like the quality of JUCO players - this comment might not be considered "leading with your strength".

I had hoped that someone would know something about this player. It appears that maybe we have not been "tracking" this guy at all.
