    Olympics and KO

Yo, so I am heading to London for the Olympics at the end of July.
Does anyone know if KO and Canada will be there?

Any other notables with GU connections?

    Thx

    Canada basketball did not qualify.

Turiaf should be playing with France, especially now with Noah out. And JP Batista, assuming he makes Brazil's roster. Here's FIBA's list of the teams that have qualified.

        Teams:

        Group A
        Argentina
        France
        Tunisia
        USA
        Two remaining qualifiers

        Group B
        Australia
        Brazil
        China
        Great Britain
        Spain
        One remaining qualifier
I'm guessing Ronny will make the French roster, and Matthew Dellavedova the Australian team roster.

I don't see JP listed on the Brazilian roster (click on the roster tab).

As mentioned, Matthew Dellavedova, and also Patty Mills are members of the Australian squad (click the roster tab).

Ronny is listed at the bottom of the French roster (click on the roster tab).

Former WSU Cougar Aaron Baynes is also on the Aussie team.

Another guy with area ties, former UW Husky Matthew Bryan-Amaning, is on the roster for Great Britain.

just a thought re Ronny, but

my understanding is he remains a free agent.

Unless that changes between now and London, it would make little, if any, sense, to compete in the Olympics when he hasn't a job nor job security going forward.

Having a job isn't a prerequisite for having pride for one's country.

Without a job, the Olympic Games could also work as a showcase.

risking one's career, on the other hand . . .

                      makes little sense to me.
