The box score showed twenty rebounds for this kid. The opposing team had twenty-five.
“No team in the country has a better winning percentage against power conference teams since 2017 than Gonzaga... the Zags are playing above average teams in the best leagues in the country and winning 78% of the time.”
Saw a couple stat lines and pretty impressive rebounding numbers. 20 boards in a game against any competition says some thing to me. Plus the fact that he hasn't played any AAU ball means he's def. under the radar and has some catching up to do.

he is exactly what we need. A big guy that can maybe redshirt and develop and ease into the playing time and rotation. he's close to home so the homesick phenomenon shouldnt be an issue. I havent seen anything real on him but the situation is a good one. If he can play and learn from the coaches, with our depth this is exactly the type of guy we needed and can use.
"Edwards was possibly the most dominant center in the state last season, leading all players in rebounds (10.8) and blocked shots (3.0) per game. He averaged a double-double for the season, scoring 12.8 points per game. He is one of just three juniors named All State this season."
I've heard of this kid from my coaching buddies in Wyoming...they've played against him in regional Tournaments and such...apparently, he's been telling his friends & teammates he's 'going to Gonzaga' for a couple years now. Didn't expect much to materialize until he put together a solid season in his JR year.
I understand he's a recent commit, yet been in talks and/or contact with GU bball for awhile now, again, word of mouth.
Anyway, not very polished game but growing into his naturally wide/strong build. Basketball players in this area just don't receive the same recognition, press, or scouting given the remote location and level of competition.
For his size, doesn't really intimidate much smaller teams with his offense, even though a 6'4" kid in MT or WY usually plays the "Center" position. Pretty decent rebounding instincts and routinely has games where he scores 8 pts, yet 18 rebounds, etc.
This season, Edwards averaged 13 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 3 bpg. He was named to the All-State team and will be a Senior (Class of 2013) next season.
“You’ve got to hit the Zag standard.”
And if it happens, those rites of Autumn become the rites of Spring.
