Who you got?

I'm rooting for Phil. This should be his year.

Given the Olympic Club's history of big names falling to lesser lights, I am thinking a dark horse pulls off the win. . .

Matt Kuchar
Zach Johnson
Lee Westwood

From the human interest angle, I think it would really be interesting to see Donald, Woods, Lefty, and Rory on the first page of the leaderboard come the Back 9 Sunday. If you're a fan of the game, you want a fantastic drama filled finish regardless the name. . .we had such drama @ Augusta in April.

The fan in me hopes we get as good a show on Father's Day

Matt Kuchar. 3rd at The Masters and a win at The Players shows he can play in the big events.

God I love golf along the California Coast. So Beautiful. Start out with a sweater in the morning in the marine fog and end the round in sparkling sunshine. The grass is so green, the trees are so windswept the ice plant so treacherous !! Tiger will be in the hunt, Olympic, is a chess board, a shotmakers course.

Some really poor scoring early. Kyle Stanley +1 after 13 (which is good, it appears).

Kyle played well. Tiger played well. I'm happy after a long day.

Depends on how Tiger shoots today... But was home sick yesterday and watch most of his round. He is playing a very solid short game which has been his bugaboo lately. Can't remember which whole it was, par 3, he got a really bad bounce into the rough, laid a tough flop shot on an uphill incline of light rough and dropped it about 12 ft past the hole and sank the par. He plays like that all 4 days he will win it.

The PGA likes to make the US Open very tough. Great example, they showed one hole where the narrowed the fairway by about 20-30 yards and forced the players to play way closer to the tree line. Think they are saying hole #1 is one of the toughest on the course.

Kyle played well. Tiger played well. I'm happy after a long day. I was very impressed how well Tiger played when the others in his group were playing so poorly.

It seems that if you are seeing good shots and putts going in, it helps your confidence and concentration and your tempo.

More often than not you see what happened with the top three ranked players in the world, they fed off each other and all played poorly.

Was tough watching Tiger implode on Saturday night. Tiger just didn't play well. Furyk looked like he choked, that drive on 16 was a confidence killer. There is no where to hide when you lose it on a golf course. It is like flop sweat. Sad, he seems like a nice guy.

That duck hook on 16 and the subsequent melt down only cost Furyk around 1.163 million dollars.

1.44 million to the winner, 276,871 to tie for 4th. Wow......
