The ESPN website says Kansas' Self is "desperate for a quality home and home series." Helllllloooooo! Zags need to get a hold of Self immediately and challenge hime to come play in K2 in 2013. I can already guess Self would think this is just a little more quality than he had in mind.

3. Bruce Weber said when he took the Kansas State job he had to finish the schedule. The Wildcats already had a return game against Florida in Kansas City and are in the NIT Season Tip-Off as one of the four hosts (Pitt, Virginia and Michigan are the other three). Weber finished the marquee portion of the schedule by signing up to play in the Battle of Seattle against Gonzaga. Weber had enjoyed his series with the Zags at Illinois and wanted to continue to challenge the Wildcats. “It’s a fine line,’’ Weber said. “You want to win games early but with a good team you want to make sure you challenge yourself.’’

Kansas can play anyone they want, anywhere they want. I suppose, with a boat load of TV money, they might play in Seattle.

I like this guy. So, a return trip next year in the state of Kansas?

Sounds like Kansas City or Wichita.

As long as an unforeseen problem doesn’t come up at the last minute, Kansas State and Gonzaga will play a series of neutral-court games in the next two years.

Wildcats coach Bruce Weber said today the series will begin in Seattle next season with Gonzaga making a return trip to Kansas City or Wichita during the 2013-14 season.

Hoping for Kansas City! I'd love to get some bbq and then catch the game. Only a 3 hours trip from Omaha!
