View Full Version : Trying to track down the French target/s

A week ago Baldwinzag was speculating as to who Tommy and Mark were scouting in France. He wrote:

"Unless its C Mouhammadou Jaiteh or SF/G Evan Fournier, really not many French prospects worth considering at this stage or for 2012, at all. However, I would take either of the above prospects in a heartbeat.

"A couple kids from Semi-Pro Poitiers team are OK as Kevin Harley is a pretty solid Wing ... ."

One clue as to who the target might be/have been might come from considering who other schools are courting. In a Seatttle Times article this morning discussing UW's signing of Perris Blackwell, the Times also mentions that "Washington is believed to be a long-shot in the [Anthony] Bennett sweepstakes and Plan B may involve William Howard, a 6-8 forward from France." http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/huskymensbasketballblog/2017996390_perris_blackwel.html

Anyone have any info on Mr. Howard?

Well, a long , athletic wing(SF) would make the most sense.

Interesting...nice find.

Howard is at a prep school here in the States. It's not him. They like somebody but nobody turns me that would be 2012. Likely another Keita-esque talent level.

Makes one wonder if Darien Nelson-Henry would have been a valid option. Or maybe that kid from Columbine who visited for a game with his folks.

William Howard IS from France. He's over at Prep School to get a better opportunity. He might not be what Few wants but how many big time basketball kids from France are named WIlliam Howard??

Might be an entirely different kid with a different name. I just went with the name supplied by SLO. And no tacos mentioned;)

I wonder if the French targets are not for 2012 but 2013. The French boast a bunch of born in 1994 prospects: Kevin Harley, Louison Thomas, Boris Dallo, Anthony Racine.

I hope the target to Anthony Racine, a good SG prospect.
