From a Butler source = ESPN GameDay

Just received a message from a Butler source I trust that the Gonzaga@Butler game will be an ESPN GameDay event in historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, home of "Hoosiers," the classic hoops movie.

Kinda cool to return to the bright spotlight again, ay?

      ESPN Gameday

Does that mean the game will be held in the middle of Conference play rather than in November or December?

I would assume so, GameDay doesn't usually start until mid-Jan.

This is awesome! I sure hope Butler rebounds after a down year.
You're Scotch man! Time to get pissed.

            Dunno, but it'll be later.

Butler is stacked next year and will return in a big way.

They still concluded last season with 22 wins.

In addition, the 'mid-west' Bulldogs return 4 of 5 starters, plus they actively played 10 players over 13 mpg and 9/10 are returning!

Their best players were were Freshman & Sophomores last year. Very talented core. Young guys such as Khyle Marshall, Chrishawn Hopkins, Andrew Smith, Rooselvelt Jones didn't really catch their groove until season's end after losing Vanzant, Howard, and Mack in the previous season.

The only loss on the entire roster is Ronald Nored, yet they gain:

Rotnei Clarke coming off his "RS" year after transferring from Arkansas, who only averaged 15+ppg, 44%(200+ attempts) from 3pt before leaving for Butler.

Also, one of their best recruiting classes in the history of the program arrives, including Top-75/4* CG Kellen Dunhum.

Will be *shocked* if they aren't Top-25 by the time we play them in in January or February.

              Exciting news.

Kinda surprised by this development. Doesn't ESPN know that the Gonzaga program is doomed for mediocrity after the transfer of Ryan Spangler?

I completely forgot Rotnei is at Butler, this definitely stirs the ### for a dramatic showdown of top teams.

I watched Butler a lot for (ahem) financial reasons, and faired well betting against them in 2011-12, so yes I'm excited as well to see them develop their new players. Vegas is enamored with them and the lines reflect it usually.

Wouldn't it be great to watch if Rotnei Clarke and Kevin Pangos were both "feeling it" for the same game?
