I don't think I can recall hearing a more biased commentator in a NCAA tournament game than Elmore whinning about the embarassment he felt over the Zags big first half lead over UCLA. Unfortunately, he left that game a very happy camper. The only good thing about Elmore being part of the broadcast team Thursday night is being able to watch him squirm as the Zags take down WVU.
I've watched that team a few times over the past weeks and Reggie Miller definitely chips in more than Elmore...they must be weaning him off the tail end of a contract because it is definitely the Harlan-Miller show (featuring Len Elmore)...I was at the UCLA game so I experienced that pain firsthand, but still hate Elmore...
Among the reasons I dislike Len Elmore, from an interview he did with USA Today, last year:
Where do you stand on the big conferences vs. the Mid-Majors?
I think its about being competitive. That is why the tournament selection committee might give us the 11th place team in the Big East. Because when you pass the eye test, and look at the numbers, that team could have been the No. 1 team in the (smaller) conferences. If you sprinkle the field too much with teams from some of the other conferences I worry from the mediocrity standpoint.
