Saw this on the St. Mary's board...basically it is the sheet that the NCAA selection comittee uses when determining at large bids

Nice find. Zags have a decent résumé with plenty of room for improvement.

It does. Good thing their RPI is climbing so we can get a top 20 RPI win.

Gonzaga [17-3 (7-1), RPI: 24, SOS: 83] The Bulldogs lost their first matchup with Saint Mary's and it wasn't close, but they'll have another opportunity to take down their hated rival -- which is currently rolling through the WCC, by the way -- at home on Feb. 9. Win or lose, as long as Gonzaga keeps its resume this tidy (great record, pretty RPI, great non-con SOS, no losses outside the RPI top 40), the matchup with the Gaels will be for conference-title bragging rights only. The tourney bid likely will be all sewed up.

I only have three things to say about GU getting to the Tournament.

Portland. Portland. Portland.

Go Bulldogs! Get Bigger!

This. I want badly(and selfishly) to be able to go to a GU NCAA game.

No it doesn't. SMC is 6-2 against the top 50. We are 4-3. We have a chance to get 3-5 more wins against top 50 talent. 2 BYU, 1 SMC and the possiblity of meeting both in the conference tournament. Win those and our resume looks better than SMC. Until then, they kicked our A####.

Also, all those wins against BYU would probably push them out of the top 50, so who knows how this ends up. Great find.

Another place to look for insights about the committee is AKzag's thread in the Foo:

Very interesting (but long) read.
