We might have our wires crossed. I was talking about the game in Provo. BUT, if you are making the trip, cool. Welcome to Utah!

I'm totally there. I've been waiting for this game for months!!

If you're visiting, there's a couple lunch / dinner places that you should try out:

J-Dawgs (south of campus - really famous hot dog grill)
Creamery on Ninth (east of campus - homemade ice cream)
Cafe Rio (this is a mexican food chain restaurant, but it's pretty good and really popular down here)
The candy store in the BYU bookstore (the fudge is to die for, seriously... get some)

I came very, very close to doing it. Was thinking of combining a ski trip with a Zag game. Unfortunately the ol' work schedule got in the way.

It is way easier to get tix to a BYU game than a Zag game, and cheaper, too. Folks should seriously look at getting a weekend flight down, get some skiing in and root for the Zags.

Well, we're finally getting a bunch of snow, so it isn't such a bad idea. There's literally a dozen ski resorts within 30 to 60 minutes from SLC.

Like Jakester said, he and I will be there, Section 13. The three best restaurants (in terms of quality of food and concept) in Provo/Orem are probably Communal, La Jolla Groves, and Chef's Table. Probably gonna spend a little more at those places, but most of the stuff around here is pretty commercial/processed and franchised.

Also, best Pizza place in town (and it's not even close) is Nicolitalia's off of University Parkway. Boston thin crust pizza. Nuff said.

Nearly my whole family will be there. Some are coming on the Gonzaga alumni bus from Salt Lake and some from the BYU campus. We are a "mixed family".

All Zags for me though!!!

Fabulous gourmet fare at Chef's table... none better in the area. Just double-check your Amex or MC credit limit before you go...the final bill total will make you gasp. I took a group there for a graduation dinner there a few years ago, and the veins in my forehead still threaten to explode when I think about it. :p

For the (very) informal meal, I second the J-Dawgs suggestion... a little stand on the southest side of campus.

J-Dawgs is an institution in Provo, not necessarily my favorite, but still good. I also forgot to mention Sensuous Sandwich on Center St. Only place I like just as much is Zub Subs, but that is in Springville...er..."Springtucky", might not be worth the 5-10 minute drive for some.

There has been some buildings being torn down in Provo on Center St where Sensous is. I believe that Sensous on Center St. is no more.

There used to be one in the same shopping center where the In-N-Out on University Parkway is now.

Bears mentioning that J-Dawgs just built a location on University Parkway and 2nd East in Orem, so you can hit that one if you are coming from the freeway.

There has been major construction on the interstate in Utah County so leave time if you are making the drive and be ready since the lines painted on the freeway are pretty faint right now.

I was just at Sensuous Sandwich like a week and a half ago, it's still there a midst the construction.

Sweet deal. The sandwiches there are good so it would have been a bummer if that place was torn down with the rest of the construction on that part of Center St.

Any idea if it is possible to get tickets for the game?

Just tried it and there are still single lower bowl tickets available. That seat is on the BYU bench side of the court. As always it is easiest to buy single seats (I've known people to get seats on rows in the single digits that usually require a $1K annual contribution that got their ticket the day of during most games, don't expect that would work in this case as the game is highly anticipated).

If anyone is really seriously interested in going still, as a show of good will I'd be willing to buy tickets and sell them at face value (already have mine) so long as an agreement is in place to meet up well before the game starts to get them to you.

Game starts at 9PM MST.

GO COUGS!

Call the Alumni Office. They had a ticket deal to include a get together in SLC and a bus ride to the game.
