A week ago, not satisfied at all. After Thursday night, getting a split on this road trip feels like an answered prayer.

The way things went yes. I think it would definitely have been more of a letdown to lose the LMU game after beating SMC. It's definitely fun to have a team where you know they can win every game, but it's not realistic to expect it. There's some really good teams in this conference and there's very few teams in the country who could go undefeated in the WCC this season.

If that is a patronizing way to make the loss at SMC seem acceptable. It worked.
St Marys is good and playing excellent. LMU is better than average but playing good. Gonzaga is excellent but only playing good.
Get it? We are perpetual underachievers but hidden behind 2-3 streaks that make it seem like we are overachieving. But we know we are not. We can't exactly put our finger on it, but something is missing from our teams that takes other excellent teams into the elite 8. that is elite status IMO.“People can talk. People can speculate. These guys are hungry and they're ready to go." Mark Few
