If I were to tell you we went 1-1 against SMC/LMU on the road.

    Would you be satisfied?

No, and I'm sure the players would say the same.

How about satisfied, but not pleased?

I hope the kids (or the staff) are neither pleased nor satisfied at going 1-1 on the road. I know that I am not.

Honestly, I am not satisfied with it and I would hope the players would not be either. I believe we are capable of better than that. Not saying it doesn't happen and that teams don't have bad games but no I am not satisfied with the outcome of that road trip.

A week ago, not satisfied at all. After Thursday night, getting a split on this road trip feels like an answered prayer.

On game predictions I NEVER predict a loss. Cant do it. But as Reno said, After Thursday getting a split on the road is an answered prayer. Let us just move forward with a positive push on both ends of the floor and win, just win.

The way things went yes. I think it would definitely have been more of a letdown to lose the LMU game after beating SMC. It's definitely fun to have a team where you know they can win every game, but it's not realistic to expect it. There's some really good teams in this conference and there's very few teams in the country who could go undefeated in the WCC this season.

Before or after the Saint Marys debacle?

Before. Nov 1, 2011 when we were 0-0.

Ordinarily I would be ok with 1 - 1, but not where the loss is the worst in Coach Few's league history. So no....

As long as you were telling me this after we made a DEEP run into March, I'd definitely be satisfied.

If that is a patronizing way to make the loss at SMC seem acceptable. It worked.

St Marys is good and playing excellent. LMU is better than average but playing good. Gonzaga is excellent but only playing good.

Get it? We are perpetual underachievers but hidden behind 2-3 streaks that make it seem like we are overachieving. But we know we are not. We can't exactly put our finger on it, but something is missing from our teams that takes other excellent teams into the elite 8. that is elite status IMO.
