Some wins are pretty & some are ugly but a "W" is a "W"

Who was your player of the game & why ?

Pangos continues to impress and filled up the stat sheet again, leading the way with 23 points.
Dower gave GU a needed spark in the second half and as his stat line (see ZagNative's post ) shows, his contributions on the glass and defense were major. . .

Where would we be without Kevin this year?

Awful nice to see Sam getting it on, too.

I missed the first half because I'm too stupid to read a TV schedule, and now I have DVRed the entire first half of Butler-Stanford. But in the half I DID see, Dower was the difference.

If I only get one vote it's goes to Dower. Pangos kept the Zags in the game for 25 minutes but Dower provided the spark the guys desperately needed to pull this out. I can see Sam being the difference maker in many more situations this season.

KP kept us in it during the first half. But we don't win unless Sam shows up. I am going with Sam the Man

I love seeing Dower with so many rebounds, but you gotta go with Pangos because if he wasn't hitting those outside shots, nothing would've been available underneath for any of our posts.

great team work when it mattered in the last 10 mins. Good Team those falcons. I thought EH was going to get into a fist fight a few times there.

DS & SD were clicking nicely, too. RS had a bad night. Not sure what's going on there. Was sorry Spangs got pulled. MM came out post haste, too. But we weren't gelling well at the time and the last lineup did gel. So it goes.

...between Pangos and Dower. I fear I'm already taking Pangos' contributions for granted, but I'll go with Sam tonight. Ferocious effort in the second half when it was very much needed.

Another tossup. Went w/ Sam this time because I went w/ KP last time. Post scoring, game leader w/ 8 boards plus 3 steals. Enough effort tonight to make everybody happy, one would hope.

Sam. He provided the spark they needed in the second half.

PUnit goes to the crowd because THEY STANK!

Sam sparked the team, got the crowd into it, hauled down 8 boards and gave Big Rob the chance to rest.

Pangos terrific but the Unit goes to Sudden Sam

Pangos gets my vote with Dower 2nd. We needed both of them tonight. That was the most quiet Kennel crowd I can remember, but I liked the cheering at about the 8:25 mark in the 2nd half when the Zags were increasing their lead.

Pangos for his leadership. He fed the big guys and played good defense.

Pangos Pangos Pangos.

What a line.

50% from the field, 50% from 3. No turnovers. This kid is special. Special with a capital K.

Pangos= G-Unit
Without Pangos hitting all those threes and his 23 points with no turnovers we lose this game!
Sam took the ball across the goal line for a close 2nd. Without him coming on strong in the second half we wouldn't have won. So, Pangos is Gunit and Dower is runner up.

Nice to see Dower getting his game back (last two games) and even Elias played well, passing it out from the blocks when he was double teamed for Kevin or Gary to get an easy J!

Pangos is getting better and better too. I swear he was shorted a few rebounds and assists from his stats...great all around game.

Pangos = The Future, The Promise ... The Present

He attack off the dribble; he sinks the dagger; he dishes to the open man. And he's only a Freshman... a true Freshman.

with KP as the choice and Sam as a close runner-up.

However, the reason for this post is the continuing quiet efficiency of GBJ, on both ends of the floor. His offensive numbers and percentages are great for a guy who is our defensive "stopper" on the perimeter, especially when he is required to move to the SF position when we run the 3-guard sets. That would not be an option without GBJ's work on the defensive end.

Our underclassmen are really stepping up and complementing the vets.

Love It...............

Only 12 games into his GU career, and the Zags are already becoming Pangos' team.

He is more fun to watch every game.

Pangos is player of the game.
Dower is sub of the game.

Really like how Dower is rounding into form.

Went with Dower. His effort has been questioned more then once here. Last night he gave it his all. that rebound was unbelievable. He showed more emotion then I have ever seen. the team rallied around Sam's effort last night to pull out a win.

Of course it's a tossup between the two, but I chose Sam because I do believe he brought the energy to a team that was flat and lifeless. Sam brought the energy into the game that made the difference. Sacre played so poorly, that the Zags just needed Sam tonight and he delivered. Sam and Kevin played great together. I think Kevin is changing the mentality of the team.

Don't know if if we win this game with out SD's "D," rebounding and scoring. KP did so many things right...w/o his 3's we don't win either.

I believe they deserve it equally!

In addition, I really like the way this team is playing defense!

I do hope Robert heals over the break...Thumbs can be a beach to come back...IMO worse than ankles.

Another nice win, with great teamwork...I like our chances against Xavier...

Uber just opened this thread to vote but it says he already voted. Must've done that last night. Anyway, he definitely voted for Pangos (or Dower). Great game by both.
