Oh wait, it's the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State University that are taking it the Huskies. Time to wake up Dawgs.

I really don't care if the huskies come back and win, they should be thoroughly emabarrassed on several levels:

- Just scheduling South Dakota State U - are they Division 1?
- South Dakota has scored 42 points in 16 minutes against the UW at Hec Ed.

SDSU 51 UW 33 at the half. I think the UW has 50/50 chance to pull it out, but they don't have a lot of room left for error now. Embarrasing performance.

They play in the Summit League, the same league as Oral Roberts.

The UW gave up 9 less points in one half to South Dakota than the Zags did in an entire game to Arizona.

Sometimes I complain that the Zags seem a little "over coached" and not giving the young ones enough freedom and keeping the team on a tight leash, but I guess this is the reverse of that in some ways.

51-33 at the half.

UW is a joke.

Edit: This will likely be the score of the Sun Bowl as well.

OK - well I guess that they can be forgiven for scheduling them then - I was really wondering if they were even division 1, so, nevermind that.

Lenny Wilkens: "if South Dakota can get this win, they'll be flying out of here without a plane".

Side note....the Jackrabbits look far and wide in their recruiting efforts. They recently signed 6' 10" Wasilla, Alaska product Connor Devine as part of their 2012 class of signees.

Seems like the game has been called very tight by the refs unlike the GU-UA game yesterday.

74-58 with 6:00 to go.

Walters is simply toying with the Huskies' guards. One of the best players nobody's ever heard of.

KenPom pegged the likelihood of a Husky win at 84%, 89-76. Score is 83-67 South Dakota right now.

Wolters' line: 34 pts, 7a, 5 boards, 10-20 fg, 13-16 ft, ZERO TURNOVERS. Just an amazing performance against the playground allstars' projected #1 picks.

Good thing the Zags didn't schedule UW this year, since it'd be a shame to have them bring down the Zags' RPI.

huskies sitting at 5-5...respectable losses to marquette and duke, but bad losses to st louis (decent team but lost by double digits), nevada, and now south dakota state.

i have a feeling it's going to be a loooong season for the montlake crew.

My favorite quote from Percy Allen's pre-game blog....

"South Dakota State isn't very good despite an impressive record. Against weaker competition the Jackrabbitts have been able to score in the 90s. However, when paired against quality teams, they've crumbled. SDSU has lost by an average of 13 points against Minnesota, Georgia and Nebraska."

Hmmmm.....

Percy Allen couldn't find his ass with both hands. Perhaps the laziest beat writer since...Blaine Newnham.

Year in and year out I find myself questioning why BBall recruits would choose UW over GU. Granted, they're in the Pac-12, but that conference sucks now. Is there a coach in college basketball that does less with more than Romar? Seriously, he constantly lands high-end talent and under-performs EVERY year. How can you not consider this as a recruit??

For those of you that have driven out in the wide open spaces, isn't it the jack rabbit that is usually the road kill?

Many of the type of player that choses UW over GU is the problem that UW has.:fingergun:

I was at this game, Wolters simply outclassed everyone on the court. By far the best player. Got to the rim, finished, controlled the tempo on every poseession and made the Dawgs look awful.

That said, the Huskies were outplayed at almost every position and SDS shot the lights out while constantly making UW play defense long into the shot clock and converting on easy baskets.

It was a demolition!
