The coaches watched Zach last night, this is per Slipper on twitter.

@slipperstillfits
In case it wasn't clear how much GU likes Zach Lavine, it should be noted that Mark Few, Donny Daniels and Tommy Lloyd saw him last night

Guess when the coaches head to the west side of the state they are all business and no play. Good!

Hopefully Zach returns the favor and is at the Key to watch the Zags today.

Here's hoping there's also a center on their radar (who's not Polish).

So, does anyone know if Zach was in attendance?

Per the Seattle Times, Bothell was blown out by Garfield, 89-66 or something like that. Zach had 37 on 13 of 25 shooting.

That was last night, right? Was he at today's game?

Sitting in the section next to us just across the aisle from Coach Few's father

Thanks heavy. That's gotta be a good sign. Another huge selling point is that two true freshman guards are starting, that tells Zach, that if you're good enough, you will play. Good news.

Two freshman starting, that in itself speaks volumes and bodes well for us.

No one is concerned that Bothel has lost to Ballard, Roosevelt and, this week, Garfield?

Haven't seen 'em yet, so hard to say. I'm sure Bothell fans are concerned, but I have no worries about what kind of player Lavine is. And I doubt the staff does.

Lavine is averaging 26.4 points per game, per his Seattle-Times profile (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/sports/highschool/basketball/boys/index.html?site=default&tpl=Player&ID=68586&season=current) page.

Hopefully he was right behind the huskie bench today.

not worried about his team losing if he is scoring 26+ ppg (assuming he isnt shooting 35%)

Would like to get Zach but if we get Amadeus Della Valle, I'll be happy with or without Lavine.

Yes, not a bad weekend at all in terms of trying to convince a top west side player to come to GU. A nearly full Key Arena cheering on a Gonzaga team that has OBVIOUS comraderie in the best game we have played this year, beating up the top Pac 12 program over the last 20 years and then today, a very very quite Hec Ed is invaded by that juggernaut program from South Dakota State University who simply blew out the Huskies, not just beat them, blew them OUT - raking up 90 plus points.

I hope that the young man goes to sleep tonight dreaming about raining threes in a GU uniform in the NCAA tournament.

He hit a game winner at today's MLK classic in the Seattle area.

Giacoletti was at Bothell's game. Saw Michael Lee, assistant from USF as well.
