the reward was worth the risk.

happy for him. Given the fact he's a threat from 3pt these days, I have a feeling he's going to perform quite well in the NBA.

He just needed a chance and he got it today.

Pargo ALWAYS had blue-chip athleticism, strength, cross-over, NBA game, yet didn't have an NBA jump shot. He does now.

He may be a starter by season's end.

Congrats JP!

A few years later than he wanted but the hard work finally paid off for P. Really, really happy for him.

Right on! Now I have a reason to watch the NBA again. Although I still doubt I watch much.

I've ever watched. Just bulled and willed his way in to improving his game. Three Cheers JP, three cheers. Here's hoping you play long and prosper.

To all you coaches and coach wannabes, I ask, how many "superior" athletes will never lace up in the NBA while JP, who was too small, couldn't shoot, alleged short attention span, and on and on and on, is now in the NBA with Memphis ? And why ?

Nature or nurture ? I say nurture.

Way to go Jeremy! Made the most of his overseas opprtunities just like his brother.

I was at the Duke/GU game at MSG in 2006 and was watching the game with former Duke player and Timberwolf, Brian Davis when Jeremy made a spectacular move and scored above the rim. Davis asked me who that kid was and I told him "Jeremy Pargo". He hadn't heard of him and I said that he was Jannero's younger bother. He smiled and said "That kid is going to be an NBA player"

Now you are Jeremy.

Congratulations.

JP is the real deal when it comes to role models. There has probably never been a harder working Zag and he never forgot his roots. How much does it say about him that he was in Spokane during the most important signing week of his life? What it says to me is that Spokane is his BB "home" and he will always be part of the Zag family.

I always thought that Jeremy could make a good coach someday, also.

I'm very happy for JP. I hope he has a long and productive career in the NBA. I look forward to when Memphis comes to DC so I can see him play.

Looks like you'll be able to Ronny a lot too since he's been traded to Washington! This is from ESPN: (http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/7338415/new-york-knicks-land-tyson-chandler-part-trade-dallas-mavericks-washington-wizards)

The Knicks sent veteran center Ronny Turiaf, cash considerations and a 2013 second-round pick to Washington. They also dealt second-year guard Andy Rautins to the Dallas Mavericks.
