Video clip of former NFL and CFL bad boy Joe Kapp and an old anatagonist duke it out at a CFL reunion. Kapp coached the Cal team that had the multi-lateral play to beat Stanford.

Old grudges are sometimes hard to get past – even a half-century later.

Former Vikings quarterback Joe Kapp was in Vancouver for a Canadian Football League Alumni Association luncheon in the same city where, 48 years earlier, Kapp and famed football player/professional wrestler Angelo “King Kong” Mosca played each other for the Grey Cup. The two had been bitter enemies for years following the game, but it was believed that the animosity had waned, since both men are now 73 years old and well beyond their days of mixing it up in fights. Right?

In what some at first thought was a staged incident, given Mosca’s wrestling career in which losers leave town and steel chairs are used as weapons, this unfortunately wasn’t a WWE production. Their skirmish last Friday was the latest chapter in a feud that has simmered for almost 50 years.

Their latest incident opened old wounds from the 1963 Grey Cup championship game between Kapp’s B.C. Lions and Mosca’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats. During that game, Mosca became something of a villain when he delivered what was felt to be a late hit into the lower back of B.C. running back Willie Fleming. Fleming had been knocked out of bounds and was lying on his stomach when Mosca speared him. Fleming didn’t return to the game and the Lions lost. Kapp never forgot it and a feud

Sounds like those were the good old days.

I think Joe took the loss hard & took to drinking. Don't believe he's stopped since then.
