Somebody will average a double double this season.

This one's a no-brainer. Only guy capable of 10 boards a game would be Spangler as an upperclassman playing 30+ minutes a game. False.

Elias has a slim chance.

Don't see it - can't remember the last time we had one. 100% FALSE

Possible with Rob, if all the pre season watchers are correct, so I'll say TRUE!

False, but perhaps both Sacre and Harris increase to 8 per game? Dower and Spangler will help BIG TIME, but not enough minutes to go around for a double double by anyone.

That's my guess - Rob and Elias both get in the upper single digits. I'll say Rob around 8/game and Elias around 7/game. No other player will get enough minutes to average a double/double in pts/boards. I think Pangos *might* maybe get close down the road with pts/assists, but not as a freshman.

False. None of our bigs are going to get enough minutes to do it. That is a good thing. We have the depth to rotate minutes fairly evenly between four - maybe five - really good frontcourt players.

I have no idea.

The players with the most minutes will likely be Rob and Elias.

They would probably have the best chance. If GU is dedicated to feeding the post.

Averaging double figures at anything other than scoring isn't exactly easy.

False. Too much depth in the frontcourt. Many hands should make for light work.

This isn't a team with one star and a bunch of average players. Double Doubles are harder when it's winning by committee. Sorry

Rob could if he stays so ferocious.
Spangler will....someday.

Uber predicts that multiple players will get at least one double double this year. But no one will mess around and get a triple double...

I'm shocked at the highest points for rebounds per game for all those players. I could have sworn a few of those guys had had double double seasons, but I'm mistaken. Would be awesome to see one of our guys pull it off. Mayble I should have asked when Ryan Spangler would average one....

True... Just to be contrary... Don't actually believe it. Bobby Sugar has the best chance.

False ....... that being said I believe we aught look the other direction. I believe assists and points is way to go. David or Kevin could do it if minutes were available. In the future though Pangos and Spangler will average a double double before their careers are over!

There is no reason why Rob shouldn't average a double double, but he has been a subpar rebounder in his career so far. I hope it changes.

Aaron Johnson of UAB led the NCAA last year with 7.7 apg. Three other players averaged 7+, and another 13 averaged 6+. Not gonna happen- teams usually have rebound totals in the 30s and assist totals in the teens, so rebounds is where it's possible.

Mickey McConnell averaged 6.1 last year.

Twenty four players averaged 10 or more rebounds per game, led by Faried of Morehead State at 14.5.

Dower will get a couple

Spangler starting next year.

Rob can get a double double anytime he wants. Just with flushes alone he could get 10 pts easily. He's probably the best FT shooting big man in the country. He was last year!
If he decides he wants the ball, he can go get it.He's that much improved. Will he? It's up to him.

5 and 4 spots will "by committee" average 15 points and 9 boards so technical answer is no.

But we will be a force to reckon with b'cuz we can give away more fouls than most teams from these spots. Key is to keep Sacre AVAILABLE for crunch time at end of close games...that is why it is nice to have KO and/ or Spangler jockeying for minutes since both are way better than average replacements for 5 and 4 spots , along with Dower, who will play starters minutes .

Another key is how mobile will Harris be and how we address matchups at the 3 position....will it be Landry, Hoff, Carter, or Harris, KO, or even Hart at times?? Could Harris slide to 3 at times for certain matchups??

We'll see!

I hope it changes too... if Bobby averages 10+ rebounds a game this year, our Zags are FF bound.
