From what I can gather, he was originally a 2008 recruit and ranked in Top-100 by every recruiting service...however, what in the world has he been up to since?

OK, just read he decommitted from WSU in 2007, decommitted from Nevada in 2008, & quit from Baylor in 2009...all for personal reasons.

So, he has officially withdrawn his commitment from 3 schools in 3 years...what gives!?

He also attended Prep School in between all this "activity".

Decommitted from Washington State in August 2007...Signed with Nevada's 2008 Class but was not cleared by NCAA...Released from letter of intent to Nevada.

In 2009: Baylor men's basketball freshman Mark McLaughlin has left the team for personal reasons, head coach Scott Drew announced Wednesday. McLaughlin, a native of Kenmore, Wash., signed with Baylor in April 2009 after being released from his National Letter of Intent at Nevada.

Talk about red flags all over the place...

So how many years of eligibility would he even have if he came in in say 2012?

Stats from last season at Seattle U (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/41426/mark-mclaughlin). Obviously, the young man has a story, but hard to believe GU would be interested ...

Is he leaving Seattle U?

That would be 4 Colleges(WSU, Nevada, Baylor, Seattle U) in 3 years + a prep school this kid has been involved with...now another?!

the next Theo Davis anyone?

Saw him play at the Nike Global Challenge in Portland. Isaiah Thomas and Kemba Walker played that year, to name a couple.

No question about his talent-long, athletic and can shoot it, but apparently lots of personal issues, and lots of people questioning his attitude. But who knows- Downs came in with questions and he turned out great.

He's 5'8", tops. We don't need him.

When McLaughlin decommitted WSU went after both players. Couldn't have worked out better for WSU!

The story on McLaughlin dropping WSU was that someone on the westside got in his ear, said he could do better, and if he decommitted eventually Romar would offer. He's been jumping around ever since. As you said though, he has talent but he sure has wasted a lot of time finding a home.

That's a very long time to find a home.. How old is this kid ? 30? Thats 4 or 5 schools that he has gone through. We will see where this goes.
.... To be continued

The chemistry amongst the team is very strong right now, which should be considered when bringing in new recruits.

The last thing we need is a player who is unhappy, unsettled, and underwhelmed wherever he goes...
