Some of you may have heard the story of Steve Gleason. Gleason is a 1995 graduate of G-Prep and was twice the GSL All-Defensive Player in football. He went on to play at Wazzu and signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints. He became a very popular special teams player because of his all-out play and was very involved with Hurricane Katrina relief. He retired a few years ago, got married and shortly after, developed the symptoms of ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's Disease. It unfortunately seems to be progressing rapidly. He and his wife are expecting a child. He has now gone public wih his story:

He is scheduled to be inducted in the Gonzaga Prep Hall of Fame along with John Stockton and several others on October 25.

Keep him in your prayers.

This is an incredibly sad story. I hope he beats the odds and will keep him in my prayers.
