    Demarquise Johnson visiting

    Today's Insider Rumor's quote:

"Tommy Johnson, the 6-foot-5 guard's father, told Josh Gershon of Scout.com yesterday that his son has set up official visits to Washington State on Sept. 2, Gonzaga on Sept. 15 and Washington on Sept. 24."

Seems like someone else is interested in GU!

    Demarquise Johnson visiting

Per ESPN, Johnson is visiting Sept 14. He's also visiting the Cougs on the 2nd and the Fuskies on the 24th. Finally we're at least getting a visit from a big time recruit this summer!

Just beat me to it Bogo.

Wonder if the order of visits has any meaning.
Not sure. I think he had listed UW in his top 3 at one point without GU or Wazzu. I have a feeling they're his favorite. His dad also said he may schedule 2 other visits. I want to say Missouri was also on the short list.

Three official visits to Washington schools, is there a Washington state(state not school) connection?

Seattle PI has short blurb on this along with vid. of Marq in action. Pretty impressive.

Several other schools on the list.

This would be a fantastic get, and a great way to start off the 2012 recruiting class. The kid has a lot of talent, and could easily be top 100 in the class when it is all said and done. Hope we "Wow" him with the visit.

Nice video. Johnson is the perfect size to play the wing for Gonzaga. It's a position that is pretty open right now at Gonzaga too. I would like to see this kid in a Gonzaga uniform. Few is building a final 4 team right now, and if Johnson is smart he'll sign with Gonzaga.

A hair raw but having a multifaceted athletic wing that can score on the run, off balance and/or anywhere on the floor would be nice to have again. Could be a really nice recruit.

Looks good. We need the athletes and he looks like he isn't afraid to of contact and finishing at the rim. KP and GBJ will need some guys to pass the ball to afterall...

In Gonzaga's offense the wings are scorers, and this kid looks to me like he can flat out score. Zags need a wing player who can 15 + ppg. I think, in time, Johnsson can do that.

New video of Demarquise. Great athleticism and a solid jumper especially off the dribble.

Check out 6'6 Westwind Prep guard Demarquise "Que" Johnson doing his thing over the summer... Dude is seriously NICE...

Very athletic, explosive, decent hops. Shot is just ok, but definitely a slashing wing/3 with enough touch to hurt you from outside once in a while, and keep defenses honest.

Will be interested to see how the visit goes.
