CHICAGO, Ill. – (June 2, 2011 – www.GoZags.com) The Chicago Sky finalized its roster Thursday and former Gonzaga University women’s basketball standout Courtney Vandersloot, the third overall selection in the 2011 WNBA Draft, was one of 11 players to make the final roster.

Vandersloot has been at the Sky training camp since early May. The Sky played two exhibition games during training camp, defeating the Chinese National Team 84-45 and dropping a 66-55 decision to the Washington Mystics. Vandersloot averaged 22.5 minutes, 6.0 points and 5.0 assists per game. She tallied five points and handed out seven assists against the Chinese National Team and finished with seven points and three assists versus the Mystics.

Also making the team was Spokane native and former University of Tennessee player Angie Bjorklund.

The Sky opens up the WNBA regular season at the Indiana Fever Saturday. The Fever is led by another Spokane native in Briann January, who played at Lewis and Clark High School before heading to Arizona State University. The game is set for 3 p.m. PT and can be seen online by clicking here.

Twelve of the Sky games will be televised on NBATV and one on ESPN2.

CHICAGO -- Within seconds of arriving in Chicago, Sky rookie Courtney Vandersloot knew she was in for a change.
"I say I'm from Seattle," the Washington native said. "But I'm really from Kent, which is not a big city at all. As soon as I got to the airport [in Chicago], it was just ... wild."
Drafted third overall by the Sky, the 5-foot-8 point guard won't just be a rookie in the WNBA this year, she will be a rookie in a big city.

May or may not need to pick the Sky/Pacers score. (It says so now, but since Chi is in the URL, I don't think you will have to once the game starts)
