Well, it doesn't matter. Mark Turgeon got the job.

I thought Turgeon already took the job.

Just happens every year.

Totally based on wild speculation. Not to mention the fact that only one of the three people in the actual article actually saif Few.

Just happens every year.

And Bol Kong and Manny Arop will end up playing for Few at Maryland.

Few leaving for Maryland makes far less sense than him leaving for Indiana, Arizona or Oregon....three jobs he either had zero or minimal interest in. The Chicago Tribune needs to use logic.

TSN feels it's not a good hire....

Imo sbnation is not a very credible source for rumors. I generally laugh at a lot of wild ideas thrown out on that site. It makes me feel good knowing they want few though.

It is for sure. They have much greater recruiting potential and are in a better area for recruiting. They are also in a power conference and have a national championship this decade. The history is there.

Gonzaga has been more consistent and was better last year.

It is from a recruiting standpoint but not from several others. You could easily make the argument at this point that Gonzaga's brand name is much stronger than Maryland's nationally based on the past decade plus of success.

Also I don't feel like Few would ever want to deal with all the pressure/media scrutiny that comes with being the coach of a big state school, especially on the east coast (at least from what I've heard/observed from his interactions with the media).

These issues, again, have little to do with Gonzaga and where it stands in the pecking order of college basketball. It has to do with Few, his personality, and what he wants to do with his life. He just wants to coach. Win too, but mostly he just wants to coach. If he wanted to play the move up the ladder game like most coaches, he would be long gone by now.
