No gonzaga fan has to worry about Elias going to the NBA. I'm a fan and completely speculating but again I dont even think he's considering it. He's got potential but a long way to go, nothing wrong with that.

98% sure hes coming back based on...what amounts to a hair on my butt. His performance last year killed any shot at a high pick but more so I think he wants to play better and another year at GU will help him do that. All his interviews have eluded to just growing as a player IMO.

he's learning and there's no place better to keep doing just that.

One assumes correctly.

there was some talk in another blog that Harris might jump to play in Europe like Casto from WSU. In fact the blog said he had an offer. Has anyone heard anything about that. I don't know if it is true

One assumes correctly.

Would one be 99% certain one assumes correctly?

My grandpa had this saying about the word "ASSUME".

He would say, "Nathan, you know what happens when we assume? We make sometimes incorrect assessments of how something might happen. And sometimes we are right too, maybe."

I never really understood what he meant.

Elias had offers to go pro before he ever came to Gonzage. He wants to play in the NBA. Europe is a backup plan.

From Andy Katz article:

Gonzaga

The Zags could have lost Elias Harris after his freshman season, but he returned to school. Although he didn't have a star sophomore season, the Zags still made the NCAAs. He apparently is going to come back for a third year, and if that's the case, the Zags shouldn't miss a beat.
