No link. It was announced last night at a Gala. Courtney herself relayed the info to President Thayne McCulloh and he mentioned it in his speech when he was giving recognitions to various peeps!

Wowzers.

And as young as she is, she'll have more chances at making the team in the future.

All the best to her!

Yes, it was briefly mentioned at the banquet. Courtney Vandersloot was invited to attend the US Olympic trials for the 2012 Women's Team.

I think that it is just too early for any more information to be offered at this time.

remember,John Stockton didn't get selected the first time around for the Olympics...neither did Charles Barkley....but Court has had a lot more press than John did and hopefully she'll break thru........that would be truely, truelly special.....Lord, let it happen..

Bobby Knight selected Steve Alford, his Indiana guard, over JS. The General told JS it was because Alford was on his team, not because JS wasn't good enough.

After that, JS came back and picked up two gold medals as part of the dream team and added a couple more chapters to his amazing basketball life & story.
