I was just looking at the TicketsWest Web site and it says that tickets are for sale now but it it password protected. Was there some mass mailing w/the password that someone would share with me so I can get tickets today. Also, does any one know who else will be coming other than the players listed in the ad. Thanks!

Is it new that it's now the Toyota Classic instead of the Dan Dickau Classic? Also new that Adam is co-hosting?

I thought fan attendance at last year's event was not as robust as it should have been (about 3,500). Hopefully, we'll do better this year, with so many great NBA players willing to give their time and travel all the way to Spokane to make the event.

New NBA rules prohibit the use of Dan's name for the event.

No, it's not Brunson, Hellmuth, or Ivey ... but those three really are A-List players. Pretty good coup. Doudney must have worked them over. Wasn't it Lindgren that was sporting the Bankhead jersey a few years back?

I attended last years DDC and was surprised to see the large number of empty seats. I hope we can fill the Kennel this year. Wonder why the lack of interest? It was on a weekday last year and I wonder if the advertising was poor? It was a fun event and I am looking forward to getting back to The Can. I need something to fill the sports void in my life this time of year.

IMO its the price of the tix. from people i talk to that ARENT going its because they dont want to fork out the money being asked for the good seats.

Living out of town and having a job with regular hours and limited time off, the Thursday night timing puts it out of the question before I get to the price point consideration.

As for the price of the tickets-- donate blood a couple of times-- or just don't buy front row-- or lay off the lattes for a week--

Are the people that are complaining about the prices of good seats the same ones who complain about the fans with current season tickets not cheering loud enough---Imagine what would happen if they actually had the opportunity to buy season tickets-- the seats that will be available would be in the upper corners---talk about rough seats.
As far as the work schedule--thats an easy one to fix-- just take some time off from work and you are set-- ;)

You always hear how "fans" say they can't go see a game at the new gym and now that they get an opportunity-- at a really fun event--for a good cause-- it's either too expensive because they want the best seats available or it is not convenient.--go figure

Ideally a Saturday event would be great---

Ronny is on the French National Team. I wonder what his commitments are to them for this Summer. I've tried to find out but my googling has failed me, so I have to wait for the magic man BBskorer to come to the rescue. He seems to have a nose for news of overseas play by Zag players.

I too would love to hear any news of Ronny in the Logan neighborhood.

okay pal, I'll take the bait. ;)

The big event for Ronny's team is EuroBasket07 (http://www.eurobasket2007.org/en/default.asp) in Spain, which starts Sept 3. Assuming the France NT is involved in some warmup event (this (http://www.francebillet.com/place-spectacle/manifestation/Basketball-L-EQUIPE-DE-FRANCE-DE-BASKET-EQFRA.htm?noeud=309391448262836679) kinda looks like one? - in mid August), I'd have to guess Ronny'll be busy when the Toyota gig rolls 'round. But who knows?

The big draw (imo) would be if Casey shows up. That would rock if he got involved. I ran across a site a few weeks ago that said he wouldn't be returning to Los Barrios next season (at least I think that's what I saw).

Hey ZN, there's your return assignment.....go find out what CC's up to. Chop chop!! :)

ZagNative

ZN finds nada for Casey about any change in his situation.

Thanks for digging up the stuff about the French team. Looks like Ronny might be playing August 17 to 19? Assuming he makes the team, which seems likely.

It would be a huge bonus to me too if Casey showed up!
