You predict WCC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

I am trying to steer some of the discussion away from who might transfer, start, red-shirt, leave early to go to Med School, that type of thing:

So: Lets see who knows the coference; does USF continue to rise? Can Portland hold steady? Weary SMC? - - If someone with Mod pull wants to make it fun, feel free to take over thread and add rules, tie-breakers, and an end date. Of course, I am a Zag fan, I fully buy into the hype, the drive is alive as the delve for 12.

I just realized that I was actually trying to figure out how it would finish, not the poll, so just use my order as my prediction, no ties.

I think USF will be problematic this year and BYU will dominate everyone but the Zags.
SMC and Portland will slip just a little.

I have heard, from a BYU fan, "we have nothing coming back next year" - they will be in a rebuilding year AND learning the conference roaps, I think they will get stepped up along the way at USF/SMC

I'm not sure people realize they return their 2nd best post player in Chris Collingsworth next season(from injury), plus a very good chance Brandon Davies' suspension is resolved as well. Add in the 2-3 excellent prospect returning from missionary work and they are solid once again. Just like SMC, Gonzaga, Butler, Xavier, etc...BYU consistently fields good teams and always competitive no matter the year or players leaving.

No doubt in my mind BYU is Top-3 worthy in the WCC w/ or w/o Jimmer & Emery.

They are exceptionally well-coached and recruit to their system as well as any team in the Country. Every single one of their players play smart bball, can shoot, and from what I've researched are all 3-4 star recruits to boot.

Don't underestimate the Cougars from here on out...

If we lose a starting frontcourt player to the pro's or transfer.. then swap 1/2.

I think next year we see Portland drop significantly with the loss of Stohl, Sikma and knutsen. We see a HUGE improvement in USD. The top 5 teams in the league are SOLID.

BYU will get the 2 just because of the respect for the program and there home winning record. I can't see SMC dropping lower then 3 on the poll tho, we only lose McConnell, but we'll have 2 stud transfers in Paul McCoy(SMU) and Kyle Rowley(7ft'r from Northwestern), plus we'll have Page/Harris/Beau back from injury.

Pre-season polls dont be a little off by the end tho just take a look at LMU lol
