Only once has a Gonzaga team - men's or women's - been within one game of the Final Four, when the men's team lost to Florida in the Elite Eight in 1999.

Another thing, it's more like .6 miles, not 1.6 to the Arena.

Lothar, why would you take that route? The article referred to walking near the river.

Edit to add. OK, I'm bored and there is still too much crack smoke from over on the MBB side so I checked it out. It IS 1.9 miles via the Centennial Trail and 1.6 miles by road from the MAC to the Arena.
I stand corrected and apologetic. Still no excuse for saying we lost to Florida though.

lol, you're lucky I didn't make the route 5 miles long with stops at various landmarks...

anyway, at least it said E8 & not Sw16...
