If I am not mistaken, she pulled that 2000th point today, correct?

She will be first team AA.

Hers will be the third jersey to hang from the rafters.

* ESPN said she hit it... but she is actually 10 short? Either way, it will happen Monday. What a player!

that's practically a lock now. History in the making Monday night. She will definitely have a jersey hanging up in the rafters one day. No doubt about it.

What a privilege to watch this lady play.

The woman's game is different, no doubt, but in the scheme of things she is sort of like an Ammo, a JJ, a Jimmer, etc. She is that good.

"The number of points Gonzaga's Courtney Vandersloot must score in Monday's NCAA tournament game to be the only recorded Div. 1 men's or women's player with at least 2,000 points and 1,000 assists in a careeer."

If that isn't enough she's 4 assists away from the all time season record in women's basketball. She's one amazing player.

What are her WNBA prospects?

What are her WNBA prospects?
First round. 'Lottery' if they do it that way. All the lead-up is all about her. The post game is all about her. 3 weeks ago USA Today had a deal about basketball tourneys out west. There were two players on the front page. The Jimmer and Courtney Vandersloot.

Before the WCC conference tournament started she was slated as the WNBA #5 pick. With 1 PG ahead of her and I'm sure you can guess who?

It is a great life to be a Zag.

Kara Lawson said on the post game ESPN studio show Courtney is the best point guard in the country and it's not even close. As a former guard herself she said it is just unbelievable someone could score 2000 points and still hand out over 1000 assists. Also in the studio Carolyn Peck noted Courtney is always thinking a pass ahead and doesn't just get the ball to her teammates, she gets the ball to them where they can score. If you have not seen her play and you can get to the Spokane Arena next weekend I suggest you do that. You will not see the likes of her again as Coach Graves has noted over and over.

As soon as Courtney scored her 10th point, the UCLA coach called a TO in anticipation of long, continuous and loud applause for her achievement. Then an extended chant of 'Court-ney, Court-ney, Court-ney'. Lots of love and admiration for her.

Watching on TV and in person, I see the "1 pass ahead" skill in an additional way. A lot of times her pass will set up a teammate for a potential assist to a third teammate. (would count as an assist in hockey) Sometimes her teammate will see it, but from my seat there are several times when they don't. CV is just that much better than everyone else.
