Both Men's and Women's teams get hosed in the seeding. Though I hear Spokane is nice this time of year.
Good luck Lady Zags!!!

Gonzaga seeded #11 will play #6 Iowa.

#3 UCLA will play #14 Montana.

If Gonzaga wins these two games at the MAC, they will play in the Spokane Arena for rounds #3 and #4.

UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE that the ladies got an 11 seed. How can you be ranked #22 in the country, dominate your conference the way they have, beat some really good teams and play great teams like Stanford closely, and get an 11 seed?? Un-be-liev-a-ble!

Don't get mad, get even. . .and enjoy the home court advantage(s).

It's different than the men's seeding. It's an 11 seed because that's how it has to be in order for it to be in K2. If Gonzaga was good enough for, say, a 3 seed or 6 seed, then that would also work, but the girls aren't quite there. It's complicated but I heard the ESPN women's analyst explaining it. I guess you sacrifice a couple of seeds sometimes in order to host, unless yoiure a 1 or 2 seed.

Iowa is beatable. UCLA would be a monumental task. Both will be tough. The gals need to bring their A Game.

Tipoff is 1:10om Saturday.

The seeding isn't that bad if you look at RPI rather than the polls. http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?page=rankings/rpi

We knew we would be at the Kennel and what seeds would be hear. We have too teams we have a chance to beat and that works for me.

Iowa I can see us beating.

UCLA is another story. They took a 9pt lead to halftime against Stanford.

Iowa is beatable. I'd say that UCLA is beatable also. At this level, any 4 seed or better is beatable in my opinion. I heard the announcer say, "Look out for Gonzaga...". If our Ladies bring their "A" game, and we have seen that more times than not, our Lady Zags could reasonably beat any 4 seed or better. I hope no one is surprised at their success. Just you watch and see. ;)

We love our Lady Zags!!! :)

And no avalanche closures in the pass, so I can get over to Spokane to watch the game on Saturday. :)
