If we have to be a 9 seed, ND is probably the best #1 we could possibly take down, although they are playing at a much higher level than when we met. Still don't see how SMC is even getting a look at this point - weak OCS, 5/6 loses down the stretch. There are just too many bubble teams this year.

Interesting that we are matched up agains Mizzu when Few was quoted earlier that pretourny prep time would be devoted in part to practicing the press employed by teams like Missouri. ND is now a formidable opponent, but the best one seed for us to match up with in the second round. The reality is that we are going to be a 8/9 seed, and as such, this is about as good as any bracket we could be dropped in to by the committee

Palm has GU in a 10/7 game with Arizona in Anaheim, the winner likely to take on Syracuse.

On another note, this morning Palm has SMC in -- as the last team in.

...does this change if Dayton beats Richmond? Does Richmond still get in and take the final spot?

Thought they tried to avoid playing a reg season opponent until sweet 16. Maybe there is an exception but I think that rules us out of playing in ND's pod.

Was thinking the same. I might have drooled a bit.

...I'd rather play Arizona than Missouri

I'm with the Jazzer on this. That would be a gift.
I never was convinced we were soundly beaten by ND. I think we're a lot better since then. ALOT better.
