The game we all wanted is in 10 hours. 2 evenly matched teams with no fear of the other and a sense of history hanging in the balance. So many stories between these 2 teams-we'll talk about this game for a long time

Zags want revenge for last season's WCC title game loss
SMC desperate to claim supremacy in the WCC from the top dogs
POY vs NOY: The McConnell prayer in Spokane vs. The Carter clutch in Moraga
14 straight NCAA trips on the line for the Zags
SMC eager to prove Sweet 16 run last year was no fluke
Final WCC champ before expansion

With all of this and more, WCC fans deserve a great effort by both teams and the refs tonight. Let 'em play and may the best team (the Zags) win!

USF is history...bring on the the Gaels

Go Zags!

Lost in the chatter about the refs is the fact that last night we go out-shot from the field and 3pt , we got our rebounded and managed just 9 assists. Steven, Dower and Sacre were a combined 7-27 shooting.

Yes the defense was clutch as was the FT shooting. We took care of the ball (just 8 TO's) but we won't beat SMC if the big 3 don't impose their will.

SMC was off last night too. McConnell, Delly and Jones were 6-20 and you know they will be better tonight. I don't want to see any of them coming up the floor with time running out with a chance to hit a game winning shot. We need to bury them early.

The Zags fans are going to be ready to turn the Orleans arena into a home court for us and we will feed off their energy to show the Gaels they are a worthy rival but still second banana in our conference.

It would be nice to see some actual field goals in the last 10 minutes of the game tonight.

Can't afford more scoring droughts late in games. Need shooters to step up and make shots.

I'm all for running the offense and getting the first best shot, until running the clock down to 10 seconds and trying to hurry a shot.

Another (small) recommendation: Have a big take the ball out instead of Stockton. That was a very poor decision made by the freshman with 10 seconds to go. He was locked in on Marquise, while big Rob was open on the other side of the key.

Although he had a nice spurt during the first half, there were too many unforced errors and poor decisions made in the second half. We're lucky he didn't pick up his 5th foul on that breakaway by USF.

espn got their facts wrong again...

The Gaels (24-7) will face Gonzaga in Monday's championship game. Saint Mary's is seeking its third straight WCC tournament title.
